Are you passionate about renewable energy and sustainability and want to help companies find solutions to create a greener world?

DNV- Energy Systems is looking for a Workforce Development Manager to support the development of a diverse team of professionals. This position will lead the workforce development vision and support our program to hire underrepresented minorities into the Clean Energy Industry.

This role will coordinate with our utility client(s) as well as community-led workforce training programs to create and deliver a comprehensive and integrated approach to outreach and hiring.

The position will be based in our Newark office and requires New Jersey state residency

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day project management efforts, including creating project plans, preparing agendas, facilitating discussions, documenting notes and action items, and answering questions to keep the project on task and on budget
  • Contribute to a team focused on recruitment, staffing, onboarding and training for the clean energy industry
  • Develop clean energy job training program elements and training curriculum
  • Monitor and contribute to program deliverables and goals, adjust processes as needed
  • Ensure that all key recruiting and staffing metrics are achieved
  • Oversee reporting requirements, performance metrics related to recruitment and staffing
  • Promote career opportunities to the community via networking, conference attendance, social media and career events
  • Advise on the appropriate facilitation and delivery methods for different training goals
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Provide consultative expertise to identify, research, and resolve complex problems
  • Prepare presentations and reports to support stakeholder engagement
Position Qualifications

What is Required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years leading recruiting, staffing, onboarding and training functions
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team (both in-house and virtual)
  • Ability to establish influential partnerships at all levels
  • Customer focused and solution oriented
  • Ability to think creatively and inspire others
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • High level of organization and exceptional attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal employees, clients and partners
  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism and a cooperative attitude
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • We conduct pre-employment background and drug screenings
What is Preferred
  • Master's degree
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and quality assurance/control theories, techniques and application
  • Prior experience in the energy efficiency or environmental fields
  • Industry certifications, professional affiliations, and publications
