We are currently seeking an experienced individual for the role of Worker's Compensation and Disability Case Advisor. This position entails managing worker's compensation claims and disability cases, ensuring smooth coordination between medical, HR, legal and the business, as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to navigate complex cases with sensitivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage worker's compensation claims process from initiation to resolution, including documentation, communication, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with medical professionals, HR representatives, legal and the business to facilitate timely and appropriate treatment and accommodations for injured or disabled employees.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees, insurance providers, HR and legal counsel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with worker's compensation claims and disability cases, while minimizing organizational impact.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to worker's compensation and disability claims, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Provide guidance and advocacy support to employees navigating the worker's compensation and disability process, offering resources and assistance as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to worker's compensation and disability management and incorporate relevant updates into organizational policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, nursing, counseling/social work or related field. Pertinent experience at the professional level may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in worker's compensation and disability case management.
  • Strong understanding of worker's compensation laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with disability products and services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in worker's compensation or disability management
