Beacon Hill's Downtown Minneapolis client is seeking a Word Processor to join the Administrative team. This is a hybrid position that requires 1-2 days/week onsite. Parking is reimbursed for onsite days.

Job Description:

• Accurately processes material from hard copy and dictation and prepares various business-related documents.
• Proofreads and corrects drafts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Coordinates technical proofing to be done by external proofing personnel.
• Manages proofing queue for technical proofing (e.g., creates and deletes proofer accounts, revises pay rates, etc.).
• Works directly with external proofing personnel regarding hiring and questions regarding proofing of applications.
• Prepares, types, and routes correspondence, memos, minutes to meetings, and short documents.
• Performs minor document revisions (e.g., revisions to patent applications, report-out letters, etc.).
• Assists in generating, reviewing, and finalizing reports, spreadsheets, and presentation materials.
• Scans and photocopies documents/images.
• Coordinates major document production with external vendors, as necessary.
• Sends emails and faxes and ensures their receipt.
• Mails out external correspondence; sends documents via courier, Express Mail, Federal Express, etc.
• Collaborates and provides backup support for other word processors and administrative staff.
• Performs other tasks as directed or assigned by legal personnel, firm staff, or firm management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
