The Web Designer is responsible for designing the Crown College website's overall layout and aesthetic.

The Web Designer will initially be responsible for updating Crown College's current website while working directly with the vendor developing Crown College's new website. Once the website is launched, this position's responsibilities will be entirely focused on the ongoing design and development of the newly launched website. The Web Designer reports to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Ongoing innovation of website to stay consistent with higher education best sales practices
• Design engaging and responsive landing pages
• Optimize website for SEO Optimize websites for maximum speed
• Conduct ongoing website testing Incorporate all brand elements
• Test and improve website design
• Maintain the appearance of the website by enforcing content standards
• Train content management department authors
• Approval of all content for the website

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Experience with web design, digital mediums, IT, and graphic design preferred
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, Adobe Suite, API web integration, and user experience required
• Agreement with the Crown College Community Covenant and Statement of Faith

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in web design, web development, or online graphic design preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in web design required
