This is a 1st shift position. Hours are: 7 AM - 3 PM Monday - Friday, and SOME MANDATORY Saturdays.

What does a Warehouse Worker at Ice Cream Specialties do?

ICS Warehouse Workers ensure prompt delivery of materials to the production floor as needed for daily use.

What are the Warehouse position responsibilities?

  • Stack various supplies on & off pallets and/or carts frequently
  • Combine product to maximize dry goods warehouse space
  • Inspection of items for damage - quality
  • Inspect product for proper labeling & date items when unloading trucks and trailers
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor

What essential skills and experience are required?

  • Fork-truck operator and electric & manual hand-truck certification
  • Capable of unloading trucks & semi-trailers
  • Math, writing & reading comprehension
  • Strong team player
  • Communication skills: able to communicate with a multitude of plant personnel
  • Time management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • The ability to work weekends is necessary

Nonessential Skills:

  • It is important to have good organizational skills

What is the work environment for a Warehouse Worker?

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to very hot or cold temperature conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be extremely loud.

What are the physical demands for this position?

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to bend, walk, work in extreme heat and cold, get on top of equipment, must be able to climb steps and use a ladder, and enter confined spaces. The employee must be able to respond to production needs quickly (200-300' in approximately 30 sec) and must be able to lift heavy parts and equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
