This position is posted remotely for anyone considering relocating to the Colorado Springs area. This position is on the Peterson AFB campus, not remote work.

SUMMARY

The VTC/AV Technician will provide top of the line technical support to clients at United States Space Force. In addition, this position will be engaged in the day-to-day operations of changing out outdated VTC/AV equipment and bringing the system to USSF standards.TS/SCI required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides advanced functional guidance and capabilities in the completion of a wide range of audiovisual tasks, including video conferencing, hardware installations, system testing and end-user training.

Works with engineers and managers to ensure a user-friendly operating environment for controlling audiovisual equipment.

Performs routine maintenance, and troubleshoots malfunctions of AV equipment.

Works with users to plan and develop media programs; maintains storage, security and inventory of AV equipment.

Responsible for the start-up, setup, operation, diagnosis, repair and shutdown of equipment. Connects equipment, conducts pretests, maintains connection(s), and trains users.

Gives and receives feedback from clients, staff and supervisors.

Operates audiovisual or sound-reproducing equipment to provide or complement educational and public services.

Operates motion picture projection equipment to show films in auditorium or lecture hall.

Efficiently operates film / slide / video / and audio tape to project or produce still or moving pictures, background music, oral commentary or sound effects. Endeavors to effectively illustrate, clarify and enhance impact of presentation.

Operates equipment according to notations in script or instructions of speaker to ensure accurate coordination with the material being presented.

Maintains equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. Makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment, and notifies maintenance personnel when correction of major malfunction is required.

Positions, installs and connects equipment, such as microphones, amplifiers and lights.

Breaks down, removes and secures equipment when not in use.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree and a minimum of minimum five (5) years of advanced experience installing VTC/AV systems. Minimum five (5) years' experience uploading program files for Crestron and AMX control systems. Minimum five (5) years' experience creating BiAmp DSP audio files and uploading audio files for VTC/AV systems. Minimum five (5) years of trouble shooting and repairing VTC/AV systems. Minimum five (5) years' experience in using Microsoft office and other AV software programs.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGRISTRATION

CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I preferred.

TS/SCI required.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Operational knowledge and skill in the standard tools, concepts, practices and procedures of the AV field.

Operational knowledge and understanding of all wire / connector types on all AV related cable.

Working knowledge and thorough understanding of testing, analyses and corrective action on systems, networks, hardware and software in a professional audio / video environment.

Solid organizational relevant to carrying out day-to-day responsibilities.

Skilled in planning and setting up room requirements for events and meetings.

Proficient in verbal, written and listening skills.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Excellent computer skills.

Detail-oriented with ability to effectively multi-task.

Ability to train others in the proper use of audiovisual equipment.

Ability to learn and apply new knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. My be exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. May work in high, precarious places. Exposed to general office noise with computers, printers and light traffic. May be required to hear with the use of headphones.

*For Colorado candidates - In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $85,592 to 92,000; however, CNI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
