As part of the Waystar Strategic Alliances Team, the Vice President of Strategic Alliances is responsible for identifying strategic relationships to help facilitate direct sales opportunities and Platform as a service (PaaS) opportunities to Waystar. This position will collaborate with HS+H, Enterprise, and Ambulatory Sales, to identify the Alliances who can bring the most value to Waystar. Concurrently, the VP of Strategic Alliances will be responsible for driving bookings through the Alliances and PaaS partnerships. This Vice President will have a solid background working with technology businesses and partnerships to drive meaningful revenue from those relationships. This position will require the ability to work with multiple disciplines across all Waystar departments to ensure objectives are met. The team member will be able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and provide concise responses to complex inquiries.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work directly with EVP of Strategic Alliances for all Waystar partnership needs
  • Educate Waystar Sales organization on new Alliances pricing models, sales, integrations, support models, and functionality within the designated Strategic Alliance
  • Create and manage operational metrics and meeting cadence with the Alliance Partner
  • Achieve bookings objectives set in the Waystar annual compensation plan
  • Work with senior level counterparts to ensure all integrations needs are prioritized and delivered- while communicating results to Waystar
  • Devise annual plan for sales/bookings expectations
  • Review pipeline opportunities with sales leadership amongst Alliance Partners to ensure the highest possibility of closure
  • Travel required

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • MBA preferred
  • At least 10-15 years working technology organizations with track record of success in driving revenue out of Alliances and partnerships
  • Clear and effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to understand complex technical processes to lead, coach and support Strategic Alliance Partners.
  • Ability to succeed in a high functioning results driven team.
  • Ability to talk and invigorate Strategic Alliance Partner sales teams on the benefits of Waystar products.
  • Advocate for your Strategic Alliance Partner, balancing the long term success of the relationship with the quarterly objectives of Waystar.
  • Strong time management, analytical skills, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a group environment and independently.
