VP Insurtech Product Specialist

The Vice President -Insurtech Product Specialist will be a key member of the Digital Products & Partnerships team at Marsh Digital. In this role, you will be responsible for envisioning and designing best-in-class digital insurance experiences for Marsh clients via Bluestream, Marsh' global cloud-based digital insurance distribution platform. We will count on you to:
  • Inform the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for the Bluestream platform
  • Partner with our prospects/clients to understand their insurance needs and design creative digital-first solutions to meet those needs
  • Lead client discovery in partnership with Sales, Partner Management, Engineering, Design, and other key partner teams to craft best-in-class digital insurance experiences while advancing platform scalability
  • Translate client needs into functional and non-functional requirements, and partner with the Engineering team; Lead technical, legal, compliance, and other due diligence to ensure product assumptions are well-grounded
  • Inform new features to strengthen competitive differentiation, provide unique value to clients, and drive business growth
  • Researches external market trends and industry products; analyzes and evaluates findings
  • Develops and delivers tools to support sales of the product or service; tracks success of tools, collecting feedback and making adjustments
  • Creates product documentation such as white papers, data sheets and manuals
  • Conducts business requirement analysis and suggests product or process enhancements
  • Participates in client and colleague discussions and focus groups to generate product ideas
  • Contributes to idea generation using subject matter expertise
  • Works with project leaders to develop prototype specifications
  • Collects data during prototype testing to drive next iterations of the project
  • Manages project timelines and deliverables

What you need to have:
  • Ability to conceptualize and build thoughtful digital solutions that are grounded in a deep understanding of the insurance industry, a love for all things data, and a passion for delighting users
  • Experience in web/mobile app design, personalization capabilities, APIs, and platforms
  • Hands-on experience in partnering with clients and cross-functional teams to understand customer pain points and design high impact solutions to address them
  • Proven track record in developing and managing external-facing products
  • Creative problem-solving skills, self-organized, and process-driven with a knack for balancing the big picture with the details that matter
  • Abilitytointeracteffectivelyatalllevels,bothinternallyandexternally
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 7+ years of product management and/or new product development experience
  • Deep domain Property & Casualty experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
