We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Investor Relations team as a Vice President, Investor Relations. This is a global role that will focus on investor relations with additional responsibilities including some variety of strategic planning, board initiatives and other corporate finance related projects. The position will report to the Everest Head of Investor Relations. This role can be based in Warren, NJ, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Boston, MA, Miami, FL or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an integral part of the IR team in the earnings call preparation process - including the earnings press release, earnings presentation, and gathering of management information from various sources in the company
  • Handle routine IR requests from institutional investors and retail investors
  • Peer and competitive analysis - using commercially available data tools and primary source material (e.g., peer earnings information) gather, analyze, and report on peer performance and comparisons to Everest across key metrics
  • Act as the company wide resource for the collection, review, and distribution of sell side equity research, based on an understanding of the re/insurance industry and topics of importance to Everest management and other colleagues
  • Develop relationships with the sell side equity analysts/associates, initially with a focus on the financial models and projections used to estimate Everest performance
  • Over time and as knowledge of the company expands, engage in more substantive discussions with the sell side including answering routine and ultimately more complex questions about Everest and the re/insurance industry.
  • Work with the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations to establish the strategic vision, developing a best-in-class Investor Relations program at the company, leading its execution against that vision
  • Act as a trusted advisor of the SVP, Head of Investor Relations and represent the department inside the company as well as with investors
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the global organization to develop a comprehensive understanding of key drivers of financial performance, company strategies, and competitive strengths
  • Drive the quarterly earnings process, including development of the narrative, press releases, earnings call scripts, quarterly slides, Q&A documents
  • Develop and prepare other investor materials, such as letters to shareholders, annual reports, Investor Day content, and all other written communications that are shared with the investor community
  • Develop and execute investor conference and road show calendar, including preparation for executives
  • Develop and maintain an effective shareholder base monitoring program and develop strategies for targeting long term investors on non-deal road shows and other investor relations events
  • Track results and trends of our competition, key vendors, and the broader retail industry
  • Monitor and report key financial market activity and trends
  • Work with ESG leaders to optimize those efforts as it relates to investor relations
  • Coordinate with Corporate Communications team to create alignment and create wholistic messaging
  • Work to enhance and optimize the Investor Relations content on the corporate website
  • Oversee the preparation of the department's budget and monitor spending

Skills/Experience
  • Experience in investor relations and/or sell side equity research in reinsurance or insurance with strong background in corporate finance and Property and Casualty (P&C) industry
  • High level of financial analysis and modeling skills (MS Excel)
  • Strong writing and presentation skills a must (MS Suite)
  • Experience with investor relations applications e.g., FactSet, SP GMI, Alpha Sense, IR Insight, Q4 Desktop, IPREO, and similar
  • Knowledge of rating agency databases and methodologies also helpful
  • Ability and willingness to quickly assimilate a great deal of information about Everest historical and current financial performance to interpret and explain in detail to well informed externals
  • Possess strong communication skills and be able to represent the company in a highly professional manner to these key external parties
  • Ability to work independently on projects with limited oversight, and strong organizational skills and attention to detail

For NYC Only: The base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $225,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
