A Technology Service and Consulting Company is seeking a Validation Engineer in Philadelphia, PA.

Role Description

This involves tests organization and tests execution during tests preparation and realization phases by owning tests related to Integration/Tuning and Certification/Validation tests. During test campaign activities, the mission involves coordination with the Train manager, Validation Engineers, Test Engineers to ensure tests are organized, realized and executed as per our planning and expectations.

Validation/Test Engineer mission (For all train tests available in Philadelphia, as per the schedule)
On the NEC (North East corridor) - PCY (Penn Coach Yard)/other depots (On need basis),

• Test procedures modification/follow-up with various stakeholders, documentation, Investigation of allocated functions of the train
• Documentation/Investigation/Procedures activity
• Test procedures execution, Issue analysis, Review of Test reports, troubleshooting, Test reports preparation for test trains in Hornell/ Penn coach yard (Philadelphia)
• Prepare required tuning/investigation/validation tests to be performed
• Support for tests execution/troubleshooting of allocated train functions during Integration/Tuning, Validation and testing phases
• Check needed instrumentation
• Answer to review comments on Test Procedures of allocated functions

Contribution to Instrumentation preparations, TCMS related tests and investigations, Speed Increase tests, QTP 1 & 2 tests program, 238 related test program, Signaling, PACIS, Multiple Unit, Fire & Smoke, Catering, Acoustics, Tilting, Friction Brake, Traction, ADA, Network, Follow-up of FMI's and NCR's, Train Functional Tests such as PAI/VSS/CLM/DRS/IDR/CAT etc. , Railway Dynamic tests, Regression tsts, tests realization, test preparation and tests execution, overall test management for planned tests during Integration/Tuning and Certification/Validation dynamic tests for train sub systems such as:

• Titling system
• Railway Dynamics
• Brakes
• Traction
• Multiple Unit Tests
• Train Control Systems (Several functions as per Train Functional Breakdown)
• Acoustic Systems
• Toilet
• Dorrs
• PACIS
• Aero dynamic, Railway Dynamic systems
• All other train functions/train level functional and or Type tests as per the schedule

Skills & Requirements

• Experiences (more than 2 years) in Railways, Rolling Stock Test or Certification/Validation Engineering in Railway/Rolling Stock, preferably with tests/Instrumentation/Troubleshooting experiences in miscellaneous domains and subsystems (Traction, Brake, Aerodynamics, Railways Dynamic, Auxiliaries, Coupling, Signaling, Fire Detection,...)
• Fluent English
• Very good communication, flexibility and innovation spirit
