The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Medical Clinic Receptionist at the UT Conference Center. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Please see the job specifics below and if you have any questions, please email careergateway@utk.edu. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.   Pay rate: 15.00 an hourJob length: approximately 4 monthsJob schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM- 5 PMThis position is the first point of contact for patients at the UT Hearing & Speech Center. Job Responsibilities:

Checking patients in and out. Ensuring the necessary paperwork is completeCorrectly recording information in the electronic medical record, Verifying benefitsCollecting co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.  In addition, this position processes referrals, schedules appointments, processes hearing aid purchases / repair paperwork, orders products and supplies, sends progress reports to referring providers, and prepares daily collections reports.

Qualifications
Education:

High School Diploma

Experience: 

Required: 1 yearPreferred: 3 years
