The Enterprise People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise. As a Fortune #1 company, our work impacts millions of associates globally. People Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Tech's Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience.

What you'll do:

  • Hands on development on building n-tier applications using Microservices, Java/J2EE and related technologies.
  • Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions by partnering with the product management, project management, business and user experience teams. Prepare requested information and obtain cross-function approvals.
  • Analyzing business requirements, storyboards and similar artifacts of the scrum process, work in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds.
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams: product management, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results commitment to team success and positive team dynamics.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Good Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Spring Boot
  • Good Experience in UI technologies like React Web, React Native, React JS (good to have Angular JS experience).
  • Experience of strong backend development. Highly hands-on development experience with Node.js, Java/J2EE, Spring, SQL, Hibernate, JavaScript, HTML. Good Experience in CSS.
  • Good Experience with development tools such as Git, Maven, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
  • Experience in organization running fully automated, end-to-end CI/CD processes.
  • Experience in deploying applications on the cloud.
  • Good DB experience including Relational Databases, NoSQL, Kafka, Azure Cosmos, Azure SQL, Mega cache.
  • Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting using JUnit tests.
