As our Sourcing Strategy Leader, you will define and shape a clear, long-term vision and roadmap on a global scale. You will use your expert insights on political, social, business, market, and finance trends to lead and influence change across our organization. Your ability to forecast future states of the economy, business, customer behavior, and competitor behavior will be essential in mitigating the impacts of changing conditions on our strategic partnerships.
In this role, you will establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to set the strategic direction for our future operational frameworks. You will anticipate emerging business models and sponsor initiatives to deliver optimal responses. Your thought leadership will guide stakeholders through choices and decisions, ensuring that we maximize opportunities, minimize risks, and focus on critical areas for our strategic partnerships.
What you will bring!
- To excel in this role, you will define metrics to track and evaluate customer & supplier engagement and demand, assess the viability of current and future initiatives, and oversee portfolios of business relationships with long-term growth potential. You will negotiate complex contracts and coach others on the design and implementation of projects collaboration and alliance-building will be key in this role. You will build and maintain strategic alliances with a wide range of partners across the business and industry. Leveraging partner support, you will drive business programs and priorities within Sourcing and our International businesses. You will also coach and support team members to deliver improved services, solutions, and relationships, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- As an expert negotiator, you will engage in critical and complex negotiations, developing and executing effective strategies that enhance long-term relationships and benefits for all stakeholders. You will understand the impacts of business choices on Sourcing financials, accurately diagnosing financial realities, and forecasting future changes to mitigate risks. Your ability to communicate business-level impacts to diverse audiences will be crucial.
- The successful candidate will have exceptional presentation skills, the ability to build consensus in controversial situations, and a talent for connecting strategic business priorities through data and analytics. You will monitor and review major Sourcing projects, oversee project management methodologies, and adjust approaches in response to changing business needs. Your expertise in data interpretation and advanced analytics will be instrumental in identifying potential solutions and promoting data-driven decision-making.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
