GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

The Undergraduate Co-Op Research Recruiter supports the execution of research protocols mostly focused on obstructive sleep apnea. All responsibilities of the Undergraduate Co-Op Research Recruiter are carried out under the specific direction and supervision of the Lab Manager. Duties include (but are not limited to): help with recruiting research subjects, as well as all other duties assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with the recruitment of research subjects.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and respect for subject rights and individual needs.
  • Screens subjects with a phone interview.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


    • Qualifications
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High school graduate.
    2. Must be current college undergraduate. Prefer individuals with science or patient-care background and an interest in scientific research.

    SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • High level of communication and reasoning skills.
  • Able to function appropriately and with limited supervision under sometimes stressful conditions. Initiative and sound judgment are displayed in unexpected situations.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and to work cooperatively with peers, able to perform his/her role in a team effort.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to follow directions carefully, and once trained, to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
  • Accepts additional work when required.


    • WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Day shift in an office environment.
