Summary:

Wabtec is looking for a Unified Communications professional to join our Global IT Unified Communications (UC) team. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a UC/Voice/Telecom analyst or technician, and is familiar with modern UC platforms, tools, and best practices. We would like to hire an analyst that is eager to learn, can solve complex issues, and is comfortable in a self-motivated work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a global team of UC & Identity Analysts & Engineers located in Americas, EMEA, APAC regions. Ensure level 1 incident response and compliance to ticket SLAs
  • Support UC platforms & services, including Microsoft Teams, conference rooms systems, SIP trunking, call center solutions, and webcasts
  • Manage & deliver UC projects, including Teams Voice deployment projects
  • Support the Identity Engineers to administer our Identity platforms, including Okta SSO, Okta ASA, Active Directory, Azure AD, ServiceNow integration, SailPoint, and CyberArk
  • Deploy proactive solutions to recurring problems/requests
  • Be an escalation point, and a strong advocate for our end users, customers, and stakeholders
  • Participate in Identity & UC projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business and be a recognized expert in Identity & UC
  • Collaborate with third-party service and support vendors to ensure maximum uptime and prompt problem remediation
  • Project management skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience with UC/voice/telecom platforms & technologies, such as Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Avaya, and/or Cisco or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 1+ year of experience with UC/voice/telecom platforms & technologies
  • Ability to drive in the US and travel up to 10%
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Willingness to work all hours across different time zones

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of voice concepts and best practices such as SIP trunking, MOS and other call quality metrics, telephony, VoIP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 application administration, Microsoft Teams experience a plus
  • PowerShell scripting skills
  • Knowledge of Identity platforms such as Okta, SailPoint, Cyberark a plus
  • Willing to embrace change and manage or influence required activities to reach desired outcomes
  • Proven ability to deliver while under tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and solve complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written
  • Actively seeks next-gen certifications pertinent to the role
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands:
  • Employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Employee is regularly required to look at computer screen

Work Environment:
  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment
