Responsible for overseeing the designated work site and workflow of Transporters. Services are provided to patients visitors & health care staff twenty-four hours/day and seven days/week.

  • Coordinates activities within assigned worksite and team maintains accurate reports and other paperwork and maintains good customer relations with employees and customers.
  • Performs specialized transport duties including morgue trips  body releases managing viewings providing lift assistance maintaining supply of oxygen tanks for transport use and training new staff.
  • Verifies the destination and identity of patient to be transported and/or equipment to be distributed by matching transport request information to the travel log or by other method if travel log is not available or appropriate.
  • Ensures that equipment is clean and in good repair. 
  • Ensures that patients/passengers are transported safely.
  • Works efficiently to maintain high productivity minimize idle time and follow appropriate transport procedures.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.00 - $22.01 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: 2 years relevant experience
Licensure: CDL-P Required. American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Saver AED Course required within 90 days of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling/standing/reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and driving (if appropriately licensed). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
