The Transfer Advising Technologies Analyst works directly with the academic advising technologies systems and processes for JCCC building academic and transfer plans. This individual serves as the subject manager expert for the student success management system and its interface with the student information system and information technology. The Transfer systems Analyst is responsible for all set up and maintenance of the transfer advising plans within the system, system testing and trouble-shooting, documentation and communication about advising system updates and improvements. The Analyst is responsible for building all transfer plans within the system, continual system monitoring, investigates new system functionality and provides updates or recommendations to partner units and leadership as necessary. The transfer analyst also works with other Career and Transfer staff on understanding and developing transfer guides that meet system requirements.



Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and 3 years of relevant experience OR a high school diploma and 5 years of relevant experience
Minimum of two years relevant experience working in a higher education setting
Minimum of two years relevant experience working with related technology platform
Excellent written skills as evidenced by application materials
Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite products—MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Previous experience working with student information systems (PeopleSoft, Banner etc.)


Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in related area or discipline
Demonstrated experience with relevant student success management systems (Starfish, EAB SSC etc.)
Demonstrated work experience managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously
Demonstrated familiarity with policies and processes in higher education (FERPA, accessibility, SAP etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge of retention and graduation issues of undergraduate students
Professional experience developing assessment reports and performing statistical analysis at a department level in a higher education institution
Experience working in an environment that values attention to detail
Detailed knowledge of the business processes and business needs of academic advising offices
Knowledge of articulation and transfer processes and plans
