Job Summary

This position will assist the Department Trainer with the goal of driving efficiency improvements through consistent training, knowledge transfer to team members. The Training Coach is responsible for delivery and reinforcement of training material and best practices while developing and mentoring new team members. The Training Coach is a full-time operator that works directly with team members during the job specific training process.

Job Responsibilities

• Coach new team members assigned by the Department Trainer in shop floor tasks in accordance with the corporate Operator Certification program.
• Assist new and current team members in completing certification tasks and gradual assumption of all operator duties or remedial training when needed
• Assist Department Trainer in preparing new team members for performance evaluations in accordance with corporate Operator Certification program.
• Documenting completion of all coaching tasks with the Department Trainer in accordance with the corporate Certification training program.
• Provide remedial training to current team members on as needed basis to ensure compliance to the operator certification program and the development goals for operators.
• Provides feedback on new team member progress to the Department trainer.
• Promotes a safe and healthy work environment while working to achieve the best working conditions for all team members
• Demonstrates EPIC values in all actions.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures while performing other assignments as requested or as business needs require

Qualification

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet minimum Workeys, Attendance and Performance requirements for the role.
• 2 years of Melt operator experience preferred.
• The ability to carry out oral and written instructions along with the ability to adapt to different situations
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively; push/ pull approximately 11lbs., walk up and down stairs.
• The coach has to be able to communicate complex concepts in simple terms
• Must be well-versed in the Melt extrusion process.
• Exhibit a patient and positive attitude towards new team members.
• The Coach must have the ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products.
• Must have basic mathematical skills including addition subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals. Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Any unscheduled absence or tardy will have a negative impact on our ability to meet our production objectives.
