Basic Job Functions:

The DJJ Nonferrous Brokerage Group has an immediate opening for a Trading Manager in Salt Lake City, UT

• Train and develop a team of brokerage representatives
• Cultivate and grow relationships with scrap yards and domestic and international recycled material consumers; approximately 50-75% travel
• Develop and implement a marketing strategy for your region
• Buy and sell scrap metal and scrap substitutes
• Interact with customers regarding supply chain management, payment terms and contract changes while creating business opportunities to effect strong customer relations and profitability for the Enterprise
• Work across territories with teammates to achieve optimize nonferrous margins and grow 3rd party business
• Proactive problem solving to help the team achieve revenue, shipment, and profitability goals

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business discipline
• 4+ years of a commercially focused prior role in sales/brokerage
• Exceptional communication skills
• Open to future relocation (company paid) throughout the enterprise

Preferred Qualifications:

• Managed a sales team for 4+ years
• Extensive knowledge of the recycled materials industry and scrap commodity trading
• Demonstrate a high level of computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
