Position Summary

DESCRIPTION:
The Coordinator of Sexual/Relationship Violence Prevention is responsible for coordinating all activities related to prevention and awareness initiatives on campus. This individual will act as the point-of-contact for the implementation of violence prevention activities including but not limited to education and training efforts, student programs, and faculty and staff programs. They will help facilitate resources on campus and off campus for victims of sexual violence as part of the Title IX Office. The Coordinator will manage and oversee any grants received by the College related to sexual violence prevention. They will act as liaison between all internal and external partners, faculty, staff, and students, thereby ensuring the projects achieve their stated goals and objectives. Some evening and weekend work is to be expected.

OUTCOMES:
Ensure the obligations set forth by the Title IX regulations and the Title IX Office are met and the York College community is equipped to serve as an active bystander against sexual violence through educational and prevention programming on SADVDVS issues.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate training programs related to Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, and Stalking (SADVDVS) issues that target a variety of campus populations including students, faculty, and staff. Topics could include without limitation: consent, incapacitation, bystander intervention strategies, SADVDVS definitions and education, bystander intervention and leadership, wellness and healing, and trauma-informed resources and practices, 50%
  • Serve as the co-chair of the Coordinated Community Response Team, including taking and distributing notes and minutes at each CCR Team meeting, working with the Title IX Coordinator to create the agenda and facilitate the meeting, 10%
  • Serve as the advisor for student groups related to sexual violence prevention, including but not limiting to attending meetings, overseeing awareness initiatives, and implementing a peer educator system, 5%
  • Serve as a committee member on the Clery Act and Title IX Compliance Committee, 5%
  • Monitor and manage the budget and other grant related administrative tasks to the IOU PA state grant and any other funding for these initiatives, 10%
  • Monitor all regulatory changes concerning Title IX and VAWA to be implemented in prevention efforts, 5%
  • Attend training programs concerning SADVDVS issues, 5%
  • Work with internal and external partners to execute action plans and achieve goals, 10%
  • Experience and Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology or related field required, with a Master's degree in the above areas or related areas preferred
  • At least three years of professional experience working on college campuses and/or in the SADVDVS field required
  • Minimum one years' experience managing organizational budget(s); experience managing a grant-funded project or program strongly preferred
  • Experience with public speaking or hosting trainings preferred

  • Excellent organization and project management skills with attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to work in a fast-paced work environment, and to be flexible.
  • Ability to manage and work effectively with professional and support staff and student workers
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
