Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Therapeutic Mentor in the MCI/Crisis Services program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the MCI/Crisis Services program with the following:

  • Teaching social skills, anger management and other behavioral related management skills to youth.
  • Maintaining daily contact with the assigned MCI Clinician, who is the provider of the clinical hub services, regarding the youth's progress.
  • Providing daily documentation of interactions with youth and children specific to the goal area for which the Therapeutic Mentoring is authorized and all contacts with other providers.
  • Participating in Care Planning Team (CPT) meetings for youth enrolled in the MCI-BEST and also works with behavioral health providers involved with the child in order to support the goals of service.
  • Maintaining a direct service productivity 70% of available time.

  • Previous experience working with children/youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
  • Associate's Degree preferred, or High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years' experience working with SED population required.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Professional Skills - Conveys and responds to oral and written information effectively; recognizes when to consult with a supervisor, co-worker, or other affected parties prior to making a decision; has regular and punctual attendance at work, appointments, and meetings; integrates feedback and constructive criticism into practice.
  • Technology Utilization - Proficient at using appropriate agency computer software and agency communication systems; understands the impact of technological changes on the organization and is open to technological change in the organization.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide community based services- Strives to provide high quality community based services to all. Willingness and ability to work with client populations from diverse cultural socioeconomic backgrounds. Demonstrates working knowledge of community resources and how to help clients access them.
  • Paperwork related to services is high quality and timely- Progress notes are submitted by 5pm following the date services are delivered. Paperwork eligible. Documents and bills for services in a manner that is compliant with all applicable rules/regulations.

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st - through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN's Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.

Additionally, BHN is a Tobacco Free workplace. All Staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors agree not to smell of or use Tobacco or ENDS products while on paid work time or within sight of any BHN facility.
