Beacon Hill Legal's client, an immigration law firm, is seeking a temporary immigration paralegal to work on-site out of their Manhattan, New York Office. The ideal candidate would be required to commute and work on-site at the firm Monday-Friday. This would be a 6 month project where the ideal candidate would be preparing cases for trial, assembling NPE and other packets in compliance with the court practice manual, and asylum.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 1 year of prior immigration experience is required.
• Experience with i589 and 42B forms
• Be able to assess client's proof of presence
• Experience processing employment application documents

Qualifications

• Experience with VAWA (violence against women act) and SIJS (special immigrant juvenile status) is a plus
• Must Be detail-oriented, strong organization and strong time management
• Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and have good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to translate documents from Spanish to English is a must
