ECS is seeking three Telephone Switch Engineers to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

Job Description:

ECS Federal is currently seeking three Telephone Switch Engineers to support an IT Managed Services program for the Department of Energy. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations. The Engineers will provide on-site and off-site maintenance, diagnostic, and related support services for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems for National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS) with a workforce of approximately 14,000 personnel.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an Associate's Degree and at least four years of experience relative to the requirements.
  • Ability to be cleared at the TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q/L level and the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract. Active Clearance at the TS or DOE L level a plus.

Desired Skills:
  • Installs, performs routine maintenance, analyzes defects, tests, adjusts, repairs, and maintains complex equipment such as switching systems, circuit equipment, network terminal equipment, and data/digital equipment by using electrical and or electronic measuring devices.
  • Updates work and maintenance logs.
  • Utilizes knowledge of general input and analysis of telephone switch translations.
  • Runs diagnostic tests, programs, analyzes defects and/or tests various types of telephone switching equipment such as 5ESS and Avaya.
  • Uses various types of testing devices (e.g. volt-ohm meters, spectrum analyzer, digital communications, data analyzers, etc.).
  • Utilizes customer's ticketing system to track and update all work.
  • Advanced knowledge of Avaya Aura and Call Center Elite applications preferred.
