Job Description:

The University of Florida Survey Research Center (UFSRC), a part of the Bureau of Economic & Business Research is seeking to hire personable individuals as Telephone Interviewers. As a Telephone Interviewer in our lab, you'll be screening respondents, conducting surveys with them, and collecting information on a variety of research subjects. The work done by the UFSRC provides important business information and supports the work of various clients in improving the quality of life for a wide-spectrum of individuals and groups. Due to increasing demand starting in April, we expect a busy summer and need new interviewers! At the UFSRC you'll find the following:

1. Starting pay: $13-/hour plus productivity incentives based on performance
Opportunities for quick promotion and pay increase After working onsite for a minimum required period, the incentive of working remotely, provided performance goals and quality are maintained, pending supervisor approval Paid orientation and training
2. Creating your own schedule of either: 3 weekday evening shifts from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, 1 weekday afternoon shift from 3:00pm - 6:00pm, 1 weekend 3 hour shift, and 1 weekday 9:00pm-10:00pm shift OR
4 weekday evening shifts from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, 1 weekend 3 hour shift, and 1 weekday 9:00pm-10:00pm shift

Add additional shifts as you are able Flexible scheduling to accommodate busy student schedules Relaxed and friendly work environment with ability to read and study non-electronic sources while on the job An opportunity to develop communication skills and gain experience collecting data for research Interesting and meaningful work A convenient location close to campus

Expected Salary:

$13.00 /hr with an opportunity to receive performance- incentives based on productivity.

Minimum Requirements:

Clear and professional speaking voice

Ability to read from a script exactly as written

Ability to listen effectively

Basic computer literacy

Ability to work a minimum of 16 hours per week as described above

Ability to follow standard operating and project-related procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer service and telephone experience

18 years old or older

High school diploma or equivalent

Bilingual English/Spanish speakers

If hired, we are looking for interviewers to start as soon as possible. All training sessions are on Monday evenings.
