Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support our Hunter Panels Brand in Portland, ME. This person will provide technical support and educational opportunities to the Continuous Insulation and Commercial Roofing industries to help facilitate the sale of Polyisocyanurate insulation products and accessories. This role will be predominately on-site at our Hunter Panels facility in Portland, ME, with minimal travel within the continential United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Correspond with Sales Representatives, Architects, Consultants, General Contractors, Owners and Customers via phone, email and in person to provide project and product technical support
* Review project specifications, drawings and mock-up construction to assure appropriateness of product selection and use
* Assist customers and sales representatives in completing submittals, product substitution requests and similar support necessary to win sales on specific projects
* Work with other CCM departments to coordinate project support, technical marketing literature, educational presentations, QA/QC, and new product development
* Field product complaints, take necessary action, and help coordinate a resolution
* Travel with sales representatives and deliver educational presentations to Construction Professionals (Architects, Consultants, Contractors, General Contractors, Owners) to help drive product specification position
* Provide field and web-based training to the sales representatives, customers and participate in continuing education programs (e.g. RCI, CSI, etc.)
* Identify new business leads through specification review, competitive intelligence and the monitoring of construction project databases (e.g. McGraw-Hill, Bid Clerk, etc)
* Follow-up on new business leads and existing work in progress

Education & Experience Requirements:

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Technical Field (Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Design)

Experience:

* 5 years of experience working in the construction product industry
* Understanding of how to write specifications
* Experience as an onsite installer with etiher roofing or wall
