POSITION PURPOSE:
The Technical Manager, Cloud Infrastructure & System Administration is a critical member of the Information Technology team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT leaders for the delivery of business solutions and integration services used to enable and support critical business functions and processes across the enterprise. This position requires expertise in areas of business operations, business processes, application & infrastructure technologies, critical business data, and key operational reporting and analytics across critical technology platforms. Responsibilities include cloud infrastructure, enterprise architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, solution development, service support, application security and IT compliance. As a manager in the company this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring the solutions and services strategy is fully aligned and positioned to deliver compelling business value.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
Experience
* 7+ years total experience in Information Technology, including minimum 5 years in management or leadership of applications teams in complex technology environments.
* 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution industries.
* 5+ years of experience in systems development and project management.
* Experience as Cloud Administrator/Architect (Oracle preferred) 10+ years, 5 years in a most senior capacity Administrator role.
* Hands-on experience with SQL databases (Oracle Cloud preferred and/or On-premises), utilize management tools like Putty and sFTP clients.
Skills
* Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a future state vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the IT and business strategy.
* Works closely with direct report and team, providing status updates/information related to ongoing and tasks and projects.
* Possesses strong leadership, communication, planning, negotiating and management skills.
* Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources required for success may not be in direct control of this role.
* Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
* Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units.
* Ability to build consensus, making decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
* Operational knowledge of Linux OS.
* Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS.
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Deployment, setup, scaling, and configuration of SaaS/PaaS/OIC environments and pods.
* Support quarterly patching and related pre/post tasks.
* Environment scalability within SaaS, OIC and Oracle Autonomous Database.
* Conduct SaaS/OIC/ATP/FAW/EPM promotions, data refreshes (P2T) of SaaS, ATP databases and related post-refresh activities.
* Monitor and take timely action for all technical Oracle system-related notifications.
SCOPE & EXPECTATIONS:
* Provide elevated support and issue resolution as required after-hours and on weekends.
* Reports to Senior Manager, Solution Architecture & Integration platforms
* Typically, travel is not required for this position.
