Job Summary
The Team Leader, Projects assists management with daily manpower planning, scheduling, and meeting production requirements. The position is responsible for accurately maintaining inventory. This role also communicates with employees and management on the performance status of the areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

Production

  • Oversee day-to-day operations in the Project area in partnership with management
  • Set clear individual and team targets
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines
  • Monitor team performance and report on daily production and metrics. Identify and execute improvements as agreed upon with Supervisor
  • Follow and ensure the team follows the supplied documented procedures during the project process, along with submitting any identified process improvements
  • Ensure team members always maintain a safe and organized workstation
  • Secure all company assets in the assigned area


Team Building

  • Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
  • Encourage creativity and process improvements
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching
  • Place employees in the optimal position for efficiency and accuracy
  • Work with Supervisor to suggest and organize team building activities


Quality

  • Follow all guidelines and procedures for Projects to ensure standards are met set by the Quality Assurance department.
  • Perform quality production checks and inform supervisor of issues found. Work with the QA department
  • Exhibit leadership abilities and enforce rules, polices, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) procedures
  • Ensure that quality workmanship is used in the processing and modification of Brother products

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) General Education or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years Working in a warehouse environment or high paced production or manufacturing facility
  • Minimum 2 years Experience indirectly or directly leading a team of hourly workers in a production or manufacturing facility
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to effectively coordinate the work of team members without direct management authority
  • Ability to translate Key Performance Indicators to defined action items
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) Basic Required
  • Knowledge of how to interpret technical documentation
