Job Summary
Join CAI as an AMS GIS Software Development Team Leader, supporting one of our largest state government customers in Harrisburg, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in the delivery of exceptional custom developed and GIS enabled software services and solutions.
Job Description

We are looking for a GIS Software Development Team Leader to be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in the delivery of exceptional custom developed and GIS enabled software services and solutions. This position will be full-time and remote.

What you'll do

• Oversee all aspects of the GIS IT Services delivery, including Routine Maintenance, Release Management, and technical support for custom developed, GIS enabled Applications
  
• Ensure compliance with all CAI and client processes, procedures, and best practices
  
• Provide oversight of personnel and software delivery efforts throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  
• Participate in the recruitment process and manage staff on-boarding/off-boarding
  
• Mentor team members, assist in career development, and perform staffing performance reviews
  
• Collaborate with the development team and other IT peers to set specifications for new applications
  

What you'll need
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, or a related field
  
• 10+ years of IT experience, with demonstrated knowledge in the development and integration of Geo-spatial systems
  
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading technical staff
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills
  
• Experience in spatial analysis with mapping tools, ArcGIS APIs, and ESRI web application builder framework and SDK or similar technologies
  
• Familiar with the following: .NET, TypeScript, REST, SOAP, Python, RDBMS - Oracle, Postgres or SQL Server
  

Preferred:

• Knowledge of ArcGIS Online and Linear Reference systems: ESRI Roads and Highways server and API
  
• Experience with the ESRI ArcGIS suite of software, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, ArcSDE, ESRI's Python Library and ArcGIS Mobile apps such as Collector and Survey123
  

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
