Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Team Leader in the Village for Youth CBAT program at Behavioral Health Network! The Team Leader strives to provide high quality, community-based care to individuals served. In this position, Team Leaders work with families, other BHN programs, and outside providers, such as Crisis, EEC, DCF, etc., to facilitate program intakes, admissions, and discharges along with the Clinical Case Manager.

Communicating with administrators about the resources needed to accomplish team tasks, the Team Leader consults with Shift Supervisor and clinical on-call or the Program Director for support and decision-making. Additionally, the Team Leader oversees all the peer reviews and weekly program audits and helps train the Village for Youth program staff, as needed.

At Behavioral Health Network's Village for Youth CBAT Program, we believe in utilizing leadership, problem solving, and communication skills to create a safe and nurturing environment which will offer the opportunity to guide, teach, serve, and empower youth. Through the use of trauma informed, strength based models, academic instruction, and clinical support, we focus on providing youth with mental health issues the assistance they need to integrate and succeed within our community.

Team Leaders at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Knowledge of youth with mental illness.
  • Knowledge of symptoms and behaviors of youth whom have suffered from trauma.
  • Ability to work as a team member, following through on tasks.
  • Excellent observation and documentation skills.
  • Excellent triage skills related to the planning, organizing and coordination of decision making for the shift.
  • Ability to establish supportive relationships with youth, family members, staff and other providers.
  • Motivation to work with challenging population.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or 3 years' experience.
