Position and duties:

The Perella Department of Finance at Lehigh University seeks a Teaching Assistant Professor of Law to begin work on August 1st 2023. This is a fixed-term, non-tenure track, full-time position, and is renewable contingent on performance. The position requires teaching a 12-credit load per academic semester in the Fall and the Spring semesters at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the successful candidate will engage in student advising and faculty service activities, including participating in commencement exercises, workshops, recruiting activities and other activities supportive of the Finance Department, its mission, and goals, as assigned by the chair of the department.

Required attributes and preferences:

The position requires a Juris Doctor (JD) or other terminal qualification in the field of Law. Prior experience in teaching undergraduates and graduate students at the Masters' level is required.

College and department

The College of Business has approximately 1,200 undergraduates, 450 graduate students, and 80 full-time faculty members. The undergraduate finance major at Lehigh University is the largest undergraduate major in terms of graduates produced each year. A significant number of our undergraduates proceed to careers on Wall Street. Our alumni have a strong presence on Wall Street, and the alumni group, the Lehigh University Wall Street Council, coordinates activities between current students and alumni in financial services. The department also participates in the MBA Program, the Masters in Management Program, as well as our MS in Financial Engineering Program jointly offered with the Mathematics and Industrial Engineering Departments.
