Gold Standard Diagnostics (GSD) is searching for a System Test Engineer to work in Davis, CA.

The System Test Engineer is a member of the R&D - Instrumentation and Software Test Team. The System Test Engineer has a working understanding of the Testing Life Cycle for automated systems. Under the direction of the System Test Engineer Manager, he or she assists in performing test activities and providing verification and validation of automated systems developed by the R&D team.

System Test Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Performs test activities including Integration Testing, System Testing, Performance/Stress Testing, and Automation Testing

• Maintains Test Environments

• Executes Test Cases

• Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox

• Must be willing and able to learn other software programs as needed

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

• Must maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Associates Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field

• 1+ years of testing experience with a record of working with medium to large scale software systems

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance Davis, CA are encouraged to apply.
