Description:
Orders and distributes medical supplies to assigned clinical units utilizing ERP inventory applications (PeopleSoft), supply distributor email and website reporting. Maintains and distributes medical equipment and gas per unit request and established pars.

Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.
Maintains a current knowledge of all applicable ERP and Excel functions. Attends required training classes and keeps abreast of hospital/ departmental changes.

Completes Healthstream educational assignments on time according to indicated deadlines.

Complete daily supply distribution to assigned units. Includes accurate resolution of Kanban/Valuelink bin scans and Base ordering, expedited stock orders as required and approved, backorder resolution, vendor mis-pick resolution, mistaken order resolution, cancelled/rejected order resolution, return processing, affixing of all applicable chargeable item stickers, reserve stock management, and storeroom transaction accounting.

Maintains all assigned unit par location bins in optimal condition with ongoing par updates and label reprints as assigned or recommended by Kanban Dashboard metric review. As assigned, maintain and clean designated hospital equipment (e.g. IV pumps/channels/SCD & breast pumps, cooling/warmers) in good working order; assuring broken units are referred to BioMed for repair. As assigned, exchange O2 tanks per designated unit pars; staged used tanks for replacement.

On a daily basis, maintains work space including reserve racks and all storeroom pulling locations in an organized fashion free of excess packaging and debris.

Demonstrates accountability through utilization of good time management ensuring completion of all assignments prior to the end of shift. Unapproved downtime must be avoided. Seek supervisor assistance as required. Productivity expectation includes positive trend on Kanban Bin fill rates and utilization, individual scan transactions matching assigned bin Pars and elimination of unnecessary Express Issues.

Assists with service response as assigned, including phone and walk-in requests. Utilizes appropriate phone mannerisms and face to face communication as required to provide maximum customer service.

Routinely interacts with end user designee while performing the replenishment process in assigned area, making sure to communicate stock shortages and anticipated delivery times. Refer order request details to Lead Supply Techs and Inventory Controllers as required to assure a timely resolution of all special clinical supply requests.
