Position Purpose:
In this position the intern/co-op will be exposed to a variety of Purchasing functions at a manufacturing plant level.
Essential Functions:

• Work with purchasing team and suppliers on ensuring all Quality Certs, Certificate of Liabilities, and Union Contracts are up to date.
• Manage schedules for 2-4 suppliers and work with suppliers on expedites/de-expedites.
• Assist with cost reduction/sourcing projects.
• Pull drawings, review with AUX Project Manager of longevity of part, and submit RFQ to suppliers.
• Analyze obtained quotes and present to buyer for review.
• Other projects as assigned.

Education and Training

• Enrolled student working towards a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
• Ability to manage multiple projects and strong planning skills.
• Ability to meet and communicate with employees in a one on one and group setting.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is a must.
• Effective verbal and written skills mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.
• Minimally need to move about inside office and plant designated area.

Environmental Conditions

• Constant exposure to office designated area.
