Are you our next Superintendent Warehouse-District Ops?

The Superintendent Warehouse-District Ops, will staff, organize, and direct operations within the warehouse to effectively manage the receipt, storage, loading and shipping of fertilizer related raw materials and finished goods, provide strong leadership to the warehouse team, and develop them into a high performing team. Additional responsibilities will include coordinating EHS&S, process safety management (including hazard reviews, management of change and operating procedures), Mosaic Management System (MMS), capital budgets, expense budgets, facility reliability and communication to various cross-functional groups; ensuring compliance with OSHA and Maritime security programs; and maintaining relationships with all necessary regulatory agencies.

What will you do?

  • Staff, organize and direct the operations of the warehouse.
  • Develop and coach employees in order to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and effort.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business.
  • Manage performance issues when necessary.
  • Manage capital and operations expenses through proper budgeting, continuous improvement, reliability programs, and risk management.
  • Leverage internal resources, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with budgets and also requirements of the company.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, internal teams, and regulatory agencies and contacts.
  • Coordinate operational activities (maintenance reliability, projects, daily operations) by communicating with many cross-functional groups including operations, maintenance, sales, customer service, supply chain, logistics, and commercial.
  • Provide long term vision for the facility and ensure that proper resources are allocated to meet requirements as needed.
  • Coordinate EHS&S activities with a strong emphasis on process safety management and Mosaic Management System (MMS).
  • Maintain regulatory compliance in these areas, manage risk, and develop strong positive behaviors in all employees in the EHS&S area.
  • Achieve and demonstrate a relentless pursuit of an injury free workplace.
  • Manage the security and safety of a high-risk asset.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned including, but not limited to, supporting other projects or facilities, community involvement, customer visits, etc., some of which may require participation outside of normal work hours.

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, Operations or 10 years of equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years Operating or managing experience fertilizer terminal or plant with specific experience leading teams while working with material operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and understand the interrelations within an industrial facility.
  • Demonstrated experience in Process Safety Management in the fertilizer industry or hazard materials.
  • Must have strong knowledge of homeland security and maritime Security regulations and policies.
  • Ability to qualify for a TWIC card.
  • Intermediate computer skills, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Maximo, AON, Omega, and other Mosaic Systems is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to coach and develop employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with emphasis on developing high performance teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead through influence and network.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and delegate to team.

  • Skill and ability in working with remote centers of expertise.
