Basic Function & Responsibility
The DEIB Educator for MRULE-ICA Program (Student Services Assistant II) is responsible for leading, educating, and supervising a team of diverse undergraduate student leaders called Intercultural Aides in the Multi-Racial Unity Living Experience-Intercultural Aide (MRULE-ICA) program within Residence Education & Housing Services in the pedagogy of building inclusive communities within the residence halls to promote institutional learning goals.

The Supervisor will report to the co-directors of the MRULE-ICA Program.
Responsibility for the Work of Others
First level supervision of Intercultural Aides working in the program.

Impact on Programs/Services/Operations
Programmatic efforts and work produced by the ICAs and by the program's professional staff seek to impact other students' development of competencies encompassed in the institutional learning goals.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a master's degree in a human services related field (eg. student personnel, social work, sociology or other related academic disciplines); one to three years of full-time related and progressively more responsible or expansive professional experience in administration, community building across difference, program development, and training development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired QualificationsOne to three years of supervisory experience preferred; demonstrated experience working with racially and culturally diverse peoples; strong understanding of leadership as service to empower others; one to three years' experience working with traditionally-aged college students; especially first-generation/low-income students; strong interest in learning, education, and self-reflection; strong sense of integrity, passion for justice, and demonstrated creative initiative.
