The Senior Leader Technology Consultant is ultimately responsible for the overall success of the clients within the scope of the team as well as ensuring the sales, implementation and ongoing administration for the clients within this model are serviced with high quality standards and efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Manage overall success of end to end business administration for all small market clients
  • Participate in proposal, demo and sales pipeline process for prospective clients
  • Establish standards and best practices for employee benefit technology team
  • Direct special projects;
  • Assist in the development of best practices for the department;
  • Maintain quality service standards and organization to assure timely service to Trion team;
  • Research and remain abreast of the dynamic, competitive insurance environment, new and complex insurance projects, appropriate underwriting techniques and constantly changing legislation that governs business.
  • Participate in the hiring process
  • Manage workload between staff members
  • Facilitate open and effective communication amongst team members
  • Accountable for all client deliverables and procedures related to benefit plan design changes for implementations, renewals and ongoing administration;
  • Monitor, research, and resolve escalated client issues while coaching client team members on resolutions;
  • Develop client-specific training guides and facilitate training sessions in support of clients' benefit plan and process intricacies
  • Participate and/or facilitate meetings with clients, carriers and other colleagues;
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks and provide proper escalation for high level resolutions;
  • Maintain best practices and proactively recommend opportunities for efficiency improvements;
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with clients, vendors, carriers and internal departments to ensure successful implementations, renewals and ongoing administration;
  • Coach and train internal members of the technology team on best practices and client-specific knowledge.
  • Serves as mentor to the Associate Technology Consultant(s), Technology Consultant(s) and Senior Technology Consultant(s)

This position is available for remote work.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field including the following: Business, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent work experience is preferred;
  • Minimum of 8 years experience within a health care, health and welfare consulting, insurance brokerage, human resources consulting, or employee benefits related industry with experience working through an open enrollment or annual renewal benefits cycle preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience
  • Demonstrated experience with diverse client experience is required, with specific experience managing successful service deliveries while maintaining a healthy client relationship.
  • Demonstrated experience in the client implementation practices.
  • Ability to present confidently, effectively and creatively by drawing on prior knowledge, experience and problem solving skills in order to develop successful solutions.
  • Ability to navigate through potential client relationships and relate to various levels within the client audience along with the ability to effectively address client objections.
  • Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience manipulating Excel data for inclusion in implementation requirements documents.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and make quick independent accurate decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing needs in a high production environment.
  • Experience within a Health and Welfare consulting, benefits brokerage, human resources consulting, health care, or employee benefits related industry is highly preferred.

  • Ability to follow through on and successfully execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards;
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Proficiency in use of PC such as keyboard skills and electronic folder/file organization and management;
  • Aptitude for learning internal systems, applications and internal work flow of the department;
  • Must be able to effectively interact with people at all levels inside and outside of the company.

  • Work is typically performed either on site at MMA East's Conshohocken, PA office, or at various customer/Trion locations as required.
