Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess any combination of experience
and education that would likely produce the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

- Knowledge in pipe fitting.
- Knowledge of basic steam theory.
- Skill in reading, writing, and working with computer software.
- Skill in working as a team member and interacting with the public.
- Ability to work with various hand tools used in pipe fitting.
- Ability to rebuild pumps.
- Ability to insulate pipes and fittings.
- Ability to work under strenuous conditions.
- Ability to perform basic math.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Possess High School Diploma or GED.
- Acquire TCEQ Class "D" License within one year; or Class "C" License within two years.

Job Description:

Responsible for operating and maintaining all steam, condensate, potable water systems, and associated equipment.

Job Duties:

- Install new steam and condensate piping systems and all associated equipment.
- Rebuild and repair pumps and motors.
- Check University and Freeman Ranch water wells.
- Fill out time sheets on computer and complete work orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information to Applicants:

Monthly, the applicant will be required to be on-call outside of normal working hours. Additionally, applicant will be required to work extended hours for special events or job completion deadline(s).
