TITLE: Statistical Science Associate Director

LOCATION: Waltham, MA

HOURS: 40 hrs/week; Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

DUTIES: Lead statistician in clinical or preclinical therapeutic areas. Oversight of multiple studies/indication and contribute to statistical methodological to advance delivery of studies, development plans, regulatory strategy, health technology assessment and/or commercial activities. Develop design options and provide high quality decision support. Quantify the benefit, risk, value and uncertainty of the emerging asset/product profile. Investigate and apply novel statistical approaches, for relevant statistical issues and/or regulatory guidance and/or value demonstration, including modelling and simulation. Produce pragmatic solutions, contribute to process improvement and/or capability area within the department.

REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field plus 5 years of experience in the position offered, as a Statistician or related. Must have at least 5 years of experience with all of the following in the pharmaceutical and/or drug development industry: Conducting clinical trials in accordance with ICH GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements; Drug development, study design, data analysis and interpretations; Statistical approaches for analyzing clinical trials with binary, continuous or time-to-event outcomes; Quantitative Bayesian/frequentist decision framework for Go/No-Go criteria and sample size evaluation; Indirect comparison methodology utilizing historical data and/or real-world evidence for clinical trials; Dose-finding methodology in early phase oncology clinical trials; Statistical Programming in R and SAS; and Implementing statistical principles and clinical trial methodology to study design, complex problems, problem solving and quality focus to support for clinical study analyses. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Doctor of Philosophy degree in a stated field of study plus 3 years of experience. Pre or post Masters/Doctoral degree experience is accepted. Any combination of education, experience or training is acceptable.
