QSC seeks an experienced and self-motivated Staff Software Engineer to work with an experienced team of software engineers and product management to develop cutting-edge digital audio products. This position is located in Costa Mesa, California (Hybrid).

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other members of a tight-knit, small project team to develop world-class professional audio products for the live sound market
  • Apply good software design and development practices in daily activities
  • Work with Software Quality Assurance to develop appropriate test strategies
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum 8+ years of work experience as an embedded software engineer working in large code bases
  • Strong coding skills in C/C++
  • FreeRTOS or other real time operating systems on ARM processors
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in any of the following areas is not required, but is a plus:
  • Analog Devices DSPs including Sigma and Sharc processors
  • Experience with SPI, I2C, TDM, I2S, and parallel interfaces
  • Audio DSP algorithms including IIR and FIR filters, as well as, dynamics processing
  • Audio power amplifiers
  • Circuits, analog filters, and power electronics
  • Professional audio/video products and systems
