The 18 bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit provides patient/family centered care based on current evidence to a highly acute population requiring surgical and percutaneous interventions to manage acute coronary syndromes, valvular disease, cardiac transplantation and congenital diseases of the heart and vessels. Advanced technologies used in support of this patient population include: ventricular assist devices, continuous renal replacement therapies, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. The unit is supported by a leadership team that includes a Nursing Director, a Medical Director/Intensivist as well as a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years RN experience required.
1-2 years Cardiac Surgical ICU experience strongly preferred.
Current licensure as a registered nurse in Massachusetts required.
This position requires RN experience, new graduates will not be considered.
