Our firm is partnered with a large education organization in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to hire a Staff Accountant. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, generous holiday and PTO time and 401k with employer only contribution.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post required journal entries
• Organize supporting documentation for financial statements
• Review and organize financials including balance sheet
• Analyze budget variances

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience with demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Accounting software as well as Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hybrid position in Fort Lauderdale
