The Sr. Systems Administrator is a member of the Productivity Engineering Technologies team. Key duties of this position include optimizing, automating, ticketing, tracking, and delivering local and remote support for all Ferrara Candy Company consumers of IT. This position has primary responsibility for the execution of strategies to uptake, usage, and impact of our current system management platform to maintain automation that improves efficiencies and reduces support costs. This position must work closely with management to implement and support the ongoing delivery of technical mentorship and direction.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members in the administrative role.
  • Design and develop administrative procedure, policy, KPI's, and operating standards for all technology segments supported by this group.
  • Collaborate on engineering projects as the primary administrative Subject Matter Expert.
  • Assist in new technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with projects and inquiries with the ability to manage multiple projects and to establish priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Liaison with administrative roles in other technical specialties such as networking, servers, and storage to maintain overall alignment on standards, policies, and procedures.

Experiences that will support your success

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience providing technical support for hardware, software, and network components
  • Experience with a systems management platform such as MECM\Intune.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with automation within Active Directory and Azure
  • Experience writing and maintaining scripts.
  • Batch and/or Powershell Specifically.
  • Professional Mac OS experience a plus.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Net +, A+, MCP, and/or ITIL a plus
  • Understanding of Networking
  • Cloud technologies, Office 365, and Zoom Experience.
  • Switches, Routers, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, Latency, VoIP, and/or QoS a plus
