Sr Staff Systems Architect - Customer Experience

The ideal candidate will possess strong system-level analytical skills and an excellent understanding of methodologies and tools used to monitor and measure system performance. This role requires good resource management skills to balance progress on multiple projects. You will have the opportunity to solve real world customer problems, learn a wide variety of new technologies, and to gain a detailed understanding of the internals of industrial strength data warehouse and analytics data solutions. To be successful, you should be a self-starter who has the ability to quickly learn new technologies and dig deep into technical issues. What you get to do in this role:
Solution Architect
Use your deep understanding of system-level performance and enterprise systems and distributed architectures to guide customers into appropriate platform installations that will address their business requirements.
Customer Rollout
Help to drive the rollout of new platforms and proof-of-concept systems to our customers by developing and executing test plans on targeted initial customer installations
Work with customer account teams and Engineering to develop project goals and test plans and then execute those plans and analyze results.
Performance Analysis
Use your analytical skills to monitor and measure system performance across multiple subsystems (CPU, memory, storage, networks, etc.)
Demonstrate your excellent analytical trouble shooting skills to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to identify the root cause of an issue and to suggest how to resolve it
Model Development
Develop and maintain models for analyzing and predicting system behavior based upon changes in configuration and underlying technologies
Database Development, Administration, and Operations (DevOps)
Expand your fluency in a number of cross-disciplinary technologies including databases, OS, networking, software, and test automation
Create SQL test scripts and perform database administration
Work together with developers to prototype new applications and features that will lead to increased performance
Work with the engineering development teams to translate prototypes into product deliverables
Perform related requirements analysis, performance analysis and problem analysis.
Projects will consist of multiple team members and the candidate will be expected to work closely with team leader, project manager, team members as well as other supporting groups, like product management, marketing, testing, etc.
Build your working knowledge of and/or direct programming experience in DevOps automating unit test cases in Python, Jenkins, and other technologies
