RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Performance Optimization in Dallas, TX.Responsibilities:

• Combine forces with other Software Engineers on product delivery teams in confirming performance improvement opportunities
• Construct, setup and lead front end optimization to improve site efficiency
• Review, construct and execute performance measurement, optimization and validation of customer facing web/mobile views
• Provide hands-on knowledge of various ecommerce B2B/B2C/Mobile related architecture, web-services, performance profiling & tuning of modern web/mobile front end; also APIs/Services
• Combine forces with colleagues to construct and develop build time and run time performance tooling for data driven optimization decisions
• Provide knowledge regarding front-end web, backend, cloud-based and n-tier architecture
• Pull together with colleagues to construct and put in to place holistic performance strategy for application end to end
• Analyze architecture and design for performance and add to performance optimization with design ideas and performance profiling.
• Must play a vital role to advance process, tools, monitoring, alerts and provide ideas in all initiatives to boost overall performance of digital technology stack
• Create performance assessments based on defined testing standards, test scope and non-functional needs
• Coordinate with business, dev, operations and infrastructure squads on clarifying performance needs for features and performance goals
• Single out and enforce proof of theories of emerging technologies, tooling to advance performance and squad agility
• Provide review of assessments of performance, availability and capacity using tools such as Dynatrace/Splunk/AppDynamics/CloudWatch/Xray or similar
• Automation of requirements including performance measurement, reporting or analysis of web/mobile performance
• Provide reviews to confirm bottlenecks and create correct optimizations

REQUIREMENTS:

• 6-8 years of background in engineering roles in public facing, high-volume Web/Mobile areas
• 3+ years background in front end performance optimization and performance profiling in browser experiences
• Intense intelligence of web/mobile optimization techniques, HTTP protocol, Caching etc. as reelevate to web/mobile performance optimization
• Background with AWS stack, AWS Serverless & related technologies are an advantage
• Substantial knowledge with modern front-end development and modern tech stacks: React, Redux, Webpack, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, GraphQL, AWS, AWS Serverless or equivalent technologies
• Experienced at automation of performance tooling and working in a CI/CD realm
• Working knowledge of Tools including CloudWatch, X-Ray, Dynatrace, Splunk or similar
• Background with datastores like Oracle & NOSQL (Mongo, Cassandra, Elastic) is an advantage
• Background with K6, NeoLoad, Soasta or similar would be an advantage
• Python or Ruby knowledge would be an advantage
• Knowledge of tools like JMeter, Gatling, Junit or similar would be an advantage
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent understanding of tuning middleware technologies including JBoss or Websphere/Weblogic
