Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. We place a strategic emphasis on complex coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular access, bone access, specialty biologic treatments and cardiac assist. Position Summary

Build and test new product designs and processes in an organized and consistent manner.
Evaluate designs, processes, and equipment, and recommend/implement improvements.

Principal Responsibilities

Take direction from and work closely with development engineers.
Build and test new product designs and processes in an organized and consistent manner.
Develop test methods for evaluating product functionality.
Document and report results using appropriate software and basic statistical methods.
Train operators and transfer designs and processes to Operations.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and assist in providing solutions.
Document and report on experiments using Microsoft Word or Excel, tabulating and charting data using basic statistical methods such as mean and standard deviation.
Plan and complete experiments with minimal oversight.
Independently plan and execute experiments and draw conclusions.
Identify design and process challenges and assume responsibility for planning, devising, and implementing solutions.
Source and implement new technologies and equipment.
Select and oversee outside technology and vendors throughout the product development cycle.
Evaluate designs, processes, and equipment, and recommend/implement improvements.
Develop design and process solutions in an organized and efficient manner.

Education / Experience Requirements

High school diploma/GED required; Bachelors's degree preferred.
5 years of related experience required.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

Expertise in test and manufacturing fixture design and fabrication.
Highly proficient in processes such as adhesive and thermal bonding, forming, insert molding, balloon blowing, soldering, and grinding.
Highly proficient with measuring equipment such as tensile testers, calipers, laser micrometers, leak testers, and microscopes.
Skilled in testing designs and processes including documentation and charting of results.
Ability to manage larger projects with minimal direction.
