ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Manage the fulfilment center within budgeted cost goals, including labor, supplies, vendor services, and general overhead.
  • Achieve the organization's quality level rates. Ensure continuous improvement across the production operation including quality improvement, productivity/efficiency improvement, and throughput/process improvements.
  • Utilize the most efficient methods to provide and guarantee the highest levels of quality and cost control to achieve the e-commerce fulfillment plan; identify existing inferior methods within the process; and measure and eliminate them using established and formal lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Assist the senior leadership team with sustaining a Lean Manufacturing culture including making continuous improvements, identifying root causes, waste reduction, and process mapping and control.
  • Consistent with the general nature of this role, work collaboratively with others throughout the GameStop Fulfillment Team to achieve or exceed department objectives.
  • Guarantee with others the confidentially of information and technical knowledge regarding the e-commerce and fulfillment processes.
  • Drive outstanding business results through traditional management functions including, but not limited to, sourcing and selecting talent, coaching and development, workforce and project scheduling, performance assessment, and general talent planning.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education and/or Experience)

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field; a field of study related to engineering, manufacturing, or production preferred
  • At least 10 years of work experience in a lean manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a management position in a manufacturing environment; electronics-focused manufacturing environment preferred, along with relevant experience in process control and development
  • Formal, documented training in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma program preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and procedures
  • Proficient ability to prepare business cases for new product lines or initiatives
  • Proficient ability to work effectively and flexibly within one direct and multiple indirect reporting relationships while maintaining total accountability to assigned responsibilities
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others of varying responsibility using written and spoken English - bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a project from vision to profitable business model.
  • Proficient knowledge of business computer systems and applications - specifically, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and warehouse management programs.
  • Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership
  • Ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
  • Proficient knowledge of employee development: talent assessment, competency-based development, motivation and reward
  • Ability to effectively recruit, hire, coach, train, develop, retain, and redirect a large diverse team of associates
  • Expert ability to comprehend and adhere to all GameStop policies and procedures, including those related to organizational and position-specific attendance and scheduling, conflict of interest, confidentiality, safety, and honesty
