Description
SAIC is seeking a Sr. Instructional Systems Designer to support our Navy program in King George, VA. There are work from home options due to COVID, but this role will be in office once COVID restrictions are lifted.
Job Duties:
- Prepare training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via computer based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems. Conducts training analysis, designs and develops training curricula, designs and develop multimedia/web storyboards and training, and measures and evaluates effectiveness of training.
- Collaborate with CSCS and other stakeholders to design and develop effective training solutions to support Fleet needs, including ordnance and SHIPALTs, field changes, and AEGIS B/L upgrades or changes.
- Develop, update, and deliver multiple AIM-based products, including AIM I, AIM II, and CPM/Learning Object Model (LOM), as well as design, develop, revise, and updating ILE– and SCORM–compliant material that can operate in the Navy’s most current Learning Management System (LMS).
- Support and represent customer during training stakeholder reviews and conferences.
- Assist with preparation of Contractor’s monthly progress reports.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years experience - Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Must possess complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards with regards to curriculum development.
- Working knowledge of the Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) based products, including AIM1, I AIM II, Content Planning Module (CPM), and Learning Object Model (LOM).

- Significant job related experience in the practical use and application of Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Strong oral and written communication skills involving both technical and non-technical audiences
- The ability to work within tight deadlines and integrally with a team
