The Department of Information Technology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Instructional Designer to work in Coral Gables, FL.
The Senior Instructional Designer plans and implements engaging learning activities and compelling course content to meet the learning needs of a target audience. Furthermore, the Senior Instructional Designer serves as a lead to lower-level instructional designers and provides guidance as needed.
Department Specific Functions
Oversees training team's content development and delivery to ensure they meet department's quality standards. Oversees training programs and user group networks. Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Change Management, assigns training team's workload to ensure deliverables are met. Conducts needs analysis studies and confers with managers, supervisors and subject matter experts to determine target audience needs and design and develop training content. Ensures training policies, programs, and schedules are implemented based on knowledge of identified training needs. Selects, designs and implements appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role-play, computer-based training as well as hybrid training. Designs effective e-learning content to meet the needs of specific audiences. Writes effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts. Provides input in the performance review of trainers and instructional designers.
