The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for a variety of tasks relating to both finance and accounting. The person has the opportunity to balance numerous roles and activities. In this role you will be able to develop skills in a variety of important financial related areas. The role reports a senior leader in the FP&A department and has significant interactions with other leadership roles at HelpSystems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist in the forecasting of accurate and timely expense and cash flow projections
• Knowledgeable about expense categorization to ensure accurate reporting for departments and the overall organization (e.g. COGS vs. operating expense)
• Analyze options, make suggestions for financial and process improvements
• Working with the business and financial team develop the company's operating budgets
• Analyze and review business unit results and consult with related/interested parties on results
• Create financial forecasts and company valuations related to potential M&A activity as needed
• Assist with financial due diligence and/or the integration of acquisitions
• Maintain database of key financial metrics
• Support Finance leader in ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or related field
• 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting
• Business modeling
• Proficient in Excel and Sbase or similar a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and quality
• Confident and positive attitude in facing complex organizations and processes
• Finance Business Partner experience - comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders (i.e. management, sales, marketing, etc.) with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence
• Must possess an inquisitive mind, have an ability to work independently and proactively, be accepting of ambiguity, and a quick learner with good technical and business acumen
• Experience in the technology industry and R&D a big plus
