Job Title: Sr. Finance Manager, Consumer Business U

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Description

The Sr. Finance Manager provides financial analytical support to the Consumer Business Unit and oversee all costs and expenses for the P&L. Partners with BU Marketing, Sales Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial Sales, Business Unit Leadership, and other internal/external departments to facilitate Business decisions and develop Business strategies to increase profitability and optimize resources through analytical and financial modeling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support COGS and OPEX management process with cross-functional teams. Assess return on investment for key initiatives.
  • Support all marketing promotional activities; provides key decision support through analytical modeling regarding business strategies and resource utilization; serves as a liaison between Finance and the Consumer Marketing team relating to P&L considerations and financial impact of business decisions. Work with external vendors on cost planning.
  • Prepares and presents project analysis outcomes to a diverse group of internal stakeholders in order to help make business decisions and strategies; clearly justifies analytical outcomes (help break down complex modeling process, various inputs and outputs) to build management assurance with business decisions
  • Proactively identifies potential data and analytical needs of internal customers to overall business objectives
  • Manages yearly budget and monthly forecasting process for COGS and OPEX
  • Works closely with the Financial Planning Team to ensure business P&L forecasts are accurate and that risks and opportunities vs. budget and latest trends are properly quantified and identified during business reviews
  • Oversees processes to perform analyses using large amounts of complex information from various internal and external sources.
  • Initiates and facilitates investigation of variances trends, cost trends and performs related analysis.
  • Develops profitability analysis as it relates to coupons & measures ROI (return on investment) for various business initiatives
  • Oversees special projects/studies of moderate to complex scope as directed; completes ad hoc analysis as needed related to various business drivers in support of the Consumer business.
  • Performs monthly operating review and related presentations
    • Highlights key financial successes and challenges
    • Considers key business drivers of P&L such as (but not limited to) net sales, customer discounts, gross margin, variable marketing spending, cost of goods, etc.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in related financial management within a corporate environment, may include (but is not limited to) financial planning, forecasting, etc.
  • Knowledge within the CPG industry preferred
  • Have "hands-on" financial forecasting knowledge
  • Have experience in analyzing and interpreting large sets of data and drawing conclusions in order to make business recommendations to internal customers.
  • Have leadership experience with budget planning, tracking and/or accountability.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Oracle, Hyperion Planning, and/or Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI preferred.
